What you can expect to get out of our classes
Whether you’re looking to compete, learn the traditional martial art, want to improve your fitness, or are just looking to join a friendly and welcoming community, our training sessions cover a wide range of aspects of Judo. There’s always something for everyone!

Breakfalls
Learn how to fall and be thrown safely. Gain the confidence of being in control of your body during crucial moments whether on or off the mat.
Fitness
Improve your strength and fitness with bodyweight excersizes, partner activities, and judo related movements. Helping to imrpove your speed, power, and endurance.
Tachi-waza
Learn the standing techniques (Tachi-Waza) used to control an oponent to the ground. We look at both classic techniques and those more suited to a competition environment.
Ne-waza
Learn the ground techniques (Ne-Waza) used to control an oponent when you’re both on the ground. We cover both hold-downs and submissions like armlocks, strangles and chokes, and provide a safe environment to practice the application of these crucial techniques.
Kata
Learn the forms of Kata that cover a wide variety of techniques including defense from strikes, knives, and katana. We look Katas as a way to preserve classic techniques not always seen in free practice (randori).
Discipline
While on your Judo journey you’ll be honing discipline, self control, and respect. Strength in both mind and body help prepare you for what life may throw at you.
